Minister Emeritus
The Reverend Tom Miles
A native of News Brunswick, Reverend Tom Miles
worked in radio in the Maritimes and in Montreal before
entering the
ministry.
In June, 2010, he retired from the staff at St.Andrew's-Wesley United Church.Tom had been a part-time staff member beginning in 2000. Following a 2-year temporary supply role on Vancouver Island, he was back at St.Andrew's-Wesley with his wife, Audrey, in 2003. Audrey was a very active member involved in many programs. She passed away in 2009.
At his retirement, the congregation honoured Tom with the title of ' Minister Emeritus'. No special duties are attached but it's an invitation to continue an active role in the life of the congregation.
"It's a kind and thoughtful honour from a considerate and generous congregation for which I'm very grateful. For me it means if I can be of assistance to the Church or to anyone personally, my phone number and e-mail address are in each Sunday's church bulletin. And I will be at worship with you as often as possible. God bless each of you and the continuing spiritual life of St.Andrew's-Wesley Church"- Rev. Miles.
